Privacy is a value Picovoice endeavours to protect in every aspect of its business. Picovoice builds on-device AI, and privacy is foundational to our technology: AI processing happens locally on the device, without requiring data to be sent to remote servers in the cloud.

This Privacy Policy includes information regarding how Picovoice Inc. (“Picovoice”, “we”, “our”) collects personal data about visitors of https://picovoice.ai, users of https://console.picovoice.ai, and end-users of products built using Picovoice's software, how Picovoice uses that personal data, who Picovoice shares it with, and your rights in relation to it.

1. On-Device Processing

Picovoice runs 100% on-device. Whether processing speech, text, or visual data, both the input and generated output remain local, never leaving the device. End-user data is not transmitted to, stored by, or accessible by Picovoice or any third party acting on our behalf.

2. AI Data and Model Training

We do not, and architecturally cannot, access, collect, or use end-user data to train or improve our AI models.

The only exception is custom development services, where a customer explicitly provides data and pays for model training under a separate written agreement.

3. Information We Collect

We may collect technical information, such as IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited, session duration, and interactions such as clicks and downloads.

Purpose: To operate and improve the website. We use cookies and may share data with analytics providers, such as Google Analytics, to understand website usage.
Legal Basis: Legitimate interest

If you create an account on https://console.picovoice.ai

We may collect information you provide (e.g., email, username, company name), model configurations you create or test, account identifiers, and technical logs/timestamps.

Administer your account and provide Services in accordance with Picovoice Terms of Use (Legal Basis: Performance of contract)
Improve the Console (Legal Basis: Legitimate interest)
Detect and prevent fraud (Legal Basis: Legitimate interest)

If you interact with Picovoice via email or an online form

We collect your email, name, and any information you provide in the form to assist you with your request.

Purpose: Respond to your request and maintain records.
Legal Basis: Performance of contract, pre-contractual measures, or legitimate interest, depending on the request.

If you build a product using Picovoice services and software

We collect metadata strictly necessary for usage reporting, billing, and fraud prevention (e.g., aggregate usage volume).

Legal basis: Legitimate interest in bookkeeping, accounting, and invoicing.

4. Information Sharing

Picovoice does not sell or rent personal data.

We protect your data through organizational and technical security measures. Our servers are hosted with established cloud providers using industry-standard security. While we strive for maximum protection, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Our Services are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we learn we have collected such data, we will delete it promptly.
