Picovoice announces early access to its private voice AI SDK for the German language. Picovoice enables creating voice experiences similar to Alexa that can run on-device, without requiring constant connectivity. Picovoice’s edge AI respects user privacy, incurs minimal latency, and provides superior reliability. Picovoice’s offline voice recognition keeps all voice data on the device and hence is intrinsically GDPR and HIPAA compliant. Picovoice plans to release SDKs for French, Spanish, and Japanese in 2021.

Polyglot Voice Interfaces

A unique feature of Picovoice’s approach to multilingual support is its ability to run multiple speech models simultaneously to create voice interfaces that can communicate in multiple languages. In the demo below, you can interact with a smart lamp in English, German, French, and Spanish. The demo runs without accessing external services within a web browser. Once the demo is loaded one can turn off the connection and it will keep working!

Start Building

Customers can create voice models within their browser instantly, using Picovoice Console. Once the models are trained, they can be downloaded and loaded onto a device to perform offline voice recognition using the Picovoice SDK.
